Chunghwa Telecom, CECI Team Up for IoT Application

Chunghwa Telecom recently announced that it signed a LoT (Letter of Intent) with CECI Engineering Consultants on January 18, under which they agree to jointly promote IoT (Internet of Things) mainly in the areas of national security, transportation, and environment surveillance, according to United Daily News on January 19. Pursuant to the agreement, Chunghwa Telecom will team up with CECI in basic engineering planning, design, and database management, leveraging the former's complete telecom networks and advanced communications technologies. Meanwhile, the operator's IoT architecture will be consolidated with CECI's integrated cloud services, and the government's disaster prevention and surveillance systems. The initial cooperation will focus on national security applications, further expanding to smart street lighting, smart transportation, environment monitoring, and other IoT applications.
